British brand MINI owned by the popular car maker BMW launched their latest hatchback, the MINI Clubman last week at a price of Rs.37.90 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). This second generation estate is the first of its kind in India from the British company. MINI
Clubman is the longest model in their entire range of vehicles. It is the fifth car from the brand to reach India after MINI 3-Door, MINI 5-Door, MINI Convertible and MINI Countryman. The company had already announced the launch of this model in India while they displayed it at the Auto Expo 2016, Delhi and since then MINI fans had been eagerly waiting to see it roll on the Indian roads.

MINI Clubman appears to have an elongated profile with steep edges at the rear where a conventional two door tailgate is provided to enhance its uniqueness. Oval headlamps and LED day time running lamps adorned with chrome borders, hexagonal radiator grille, protruding bonnet and large LED tail lamps are all features that add more flair to its iconic style.
MINI has loaded the Clubman with a plethora of features to enhance the premium urban appeal of the car. To name a few would be the all leather upholstery, multifunctional steering, sports seats for the front passengers, a large screen infotainment system well placed on the centre console surrounded by an LED ring and a large boot space of 360 litres which can be increased to 1250 litres just by folding the rear seats. But that’s not all. MINI Clubman has a lot more exciting packs to offer that include various customization options.A variety of options like Cruise Control, rear view camera, parking assistant, panorama glass roof etc. are also available.
All New Clubman is powered by a 2L four cylinder Petrol engine that delivers 192hp and 280Nm of torque and is mated to 8 speed automatic Steptronictransmission that helps in easy maneuverability. This MINI 4 seater can rush from 0 to 100kmph in approximately 7.2 seconds and the top speed is 228kmph.
As part of the safety package, the All New MINI Clubman comes with features like front and passenger airbags, 3 point seat belts, ABS, Run-flat indicator to keep your tyre pressure on check, Brake Assist and lots more.
The All New MINI Clubman is available at the brand’s six dealers across the country.
Indian Government is on the move to curb pollution levels in the country taking measures at various levels. The latest one to hear is the mandatory requirement of a valid PUC (Pollution under Control) certificate for insurance renewal. The Honourable Supreme Court under a bench headed by Justice Madan B. Lokur and Justice Deepak Gupta released an order stating that all vehicles in the Delhi-NCR should have a valid PUC certificate to get the insurance renewed annually.
