Harley Davidson, a brand that gained a lot of fan following in India since its first launch has come up with their latest offering, All-New Street Rod 750 in the country at a price of Rs.5.86 lakh. The 2017 iteration is based on the old 750 Street model and comes with few remarkable changes to captivate the youth here, special mention to the robust looks and a more powerful engine. In India, Harley Davidson progresses towards a wider audience through the launch of this iconic creation.
On the Street Rod 750, the flat drag style handlebar on the cruiser exhibits a sportier appeal with its dynamic position and a foldable pair of rear view mirror bars on both ends of the handlebar. The scooped shape and the comfortable height of the saddle have been enhanced to give a dominant feel to the rider. This new cruiser resembles the Harley XR1200X in appearance, but the blackish grey body makes it more impressive for the growing population of the urban youth on whom this model emphasizes in particular.
The new Street Rod 750 is designed with American racing in mind that always attracted the vibrant group in India. Therefore a couple of revisions are provided on the motorcycle like Forged brake and gear levers and aluminum rear set foot pegs. Lean angle has been raised from 28.5-degress left and right, to 37.3-degrees right, and 40.2-degrees left. The Street Rod 750 is equipped with a 749cc liquid cooled V-twin High Output Revolution engine that produces increased power and torque by 11%and 5% respectively. Harley Davidson claims that the peak power of 70bhp is produced at 8250rpm and a peak torque of 62Nm is delivered at 4000rpm. Mid-range is said to be strong between 4000-5000rpm. The bike weighs heavier by 5kg compared to the Street 750.
Ground clearance has been increased to 205mm. In terms of suspension, 43mm USD forks upfront have fork rakes tightened from 32 degrees to 27 degrees while the rear twin shock absorbers come with an external piggyback reservoir that lets you zip past the traffic with great ease. The swing arm has been elongated a little to absorb taller shocks. Braking is handled by 300mm disc brakes at the front and rear while front brakes are accompanied by dual piston calipers. The Street Rod 750 also gets ABS as standard.
Bookings for the Street Rod 750 have commenced across all nationwide dealerships from March 15th, 2017 while test rides will start from April 21st, 2017.

Royal Enfield motorcycles powered by BS-IV engines are now available in India. The entire lineup is said to have received the engine upgrades with AHO (Automatic Headlamp On) feature (both being stringent norms), even though no official statement has been released by the company yet. According to reports from financial express, Electra 350 was spotted already on sale at one of the company dealerships with updated features as the BS-IV engine and AHO. Other models too are believed to go on sale with the same upgrades in another week, as April 1st, 2017 is the deadline for these norms to be implemented on all motor vehicles in India. The prices have been hiked for the new range of BS-IV motorcycles from Royal Enfield.

Bajaj has launched Dominar 400 with a heavy price tag; something that has been familiar here only with the Royal Enfield range of motorcycles. Entering the 1-2 lakh price range itself is a daring game, but seems like Bajaj has everything in place to claim its position in the premium bike segment.
