Merc launches Edition C variant in C-class, prices start at Rs.42.45 l


• Edition C of Mercedes Benz C-class launched at a starting price of Rs.42.45 lakh

• Three models of C-class Avantgarde receive the new trim

• Edition C rivals BMW 3-series, Audi A4 and Volvo S60

Auto companies have been launching special editions to spruce up the festive season sales in India. The latest to join the bandwagon is Mercedes Benz India by introducing the Edition C of their popular C-class series in the country. The C-class Edition C is available in both engine options across three top end trims – C200 Avantgarde Edition C (Petrol) priced at Rs.42.54 lakh, C220d Avantgarde Edition C (Diesel) priced at Rs.43.54 lakh and C250d Avantgarde Edition C (Diesel) priced at Rs.46.87 lakh (All ex-showroom prices).

These variants get impressive updates on its exterior as well as interior to uplift itself to expectations of Edition C. LED headlamps with integrated DLRs upfront, 17-inch twin spoke alloy wheels in glossy black, all black front twin louvres, mirror housings, beltline and side skirts, front and rear spoilers too in black, Mercedes Benz logo projectors on the ORVMs and the Edition C badge upfront etc are few major updates.

Interiors host features such as open pore black ash wood trim finish on the dashboard, 17.7 inch High resolution multimedia display, stainless steel sport pedals with rubber studs, electrically adjustable front seats with Cobra look and memory function, front door sill panels with Mercedes Benz logo and so on.

Safety features include seven airbags, Active Parking Assist, Adaptive Brake with Hill start Assist, Attention Assist and many more.

All New Edition C of C-class openly challenges the BMW 3-series, Audi A4 and Volvo S60.

Isuzu MU-X launched in India at a starting price of Rs.23.99 lakh

MU-X, A new SUV from Isuzu Motors India was launched in India on Thursday replacing the MU-7 from their Indian line-up. This robust utility vehicle comes in two variants- a 4x2 variant priced at Rs.23.99 lakh and 4x4 variant at Rs.25.99 lakh (Both Ex-showroom Delhi). The MU-X shares its platform with the new-generation D-Max and rivals against the likes of Toyota Fortuner and Ford Endeavour. The MU-X had conquered the global market until March 2017 after which a facelifted version of the same was launched there. The facelift MU-X will reach India in another year or so, depending on how good the Indian markets welcome this model here.

2017 Maruti Dzire- Bookings open at Rs.11,000 token amount

Maruti Suzuki has geared up for the launch of its most popular sub compact sedan, the 2017 Dzire in India on May 16th. The company dealerships have officially started to accept bookings for the same at a token amount of Rs.11,000. There is also an option for customers who have already booked the outgoing model to upgrade it to the third generation Dzire.

Mercedes Benz A-class and B-class Night editions show off in daylight

Last month, Mercedes Benz launched two limited edition hatchbacks, fondly named as the Night Edition of the A-class and B-class in India. The luxury carmaker that launched almost 16 models in 2016 seems to have more surprises in 2017. Both the A-class and B-class night editions are limited to just 100 units each. Targeting the younger generation in particular, both these cars are available in two variants each with cosmetic touches for a sportier appeal.
