S 1000 RR, the superbike from BMW has been upgraded based on the insights earned from FIM Superbike World Championship. This powerful machine is meant to rise above other bikes on the road as well as the track.
The 1000cc inline-four engine has been tuned to improve the power output and uses BMW’s ShiftCam Technology to distribute power over the entire range of engine speed. BMW S 1000 RR. The torque delivery is adjusted to deliver over 100 Nm of torque over a range of 5,500 to 14,500rpm.
Three variants are offered - Standard, Pro, Pro M Sport. The kerb weight of the upgraded bike has been reduced by 11kg to 197kg. The top-end model Pro M Sport weighs even lesser (193.5kg).
