Overview

Although the silhouette of the new XUV 500 looks similar to the outgoing model, the facelift version sure does have a handful of updates on its exterior that include a sleeker mesh grille with chrome inserts, newly designed bumpers and fog lamp enclosures, large central airdam, new pair of headlamps with LED daytime running lights, triangular tail lamps, sharper tailgate design with chrome enhancements and new 17-inch alloy wheels on all fours.

Interiors get an all black dashboard with piano black finish on the equipments on the central console and new tan leather upholstery.

2018 XUV 500 carries the same engine that powered the previous generation model too. The 2.2L mHawk Diesel engine now produces an increased power of 155bhp and 360Nm of peak torque, while the petrol engine produces the same power and torque as the existing one. Diesel variant gets a choice of a six speed Manual or an Automatic gearbox while the Petrol variant is mated to only the Automatic
