Trending car news Japanese company Sony has unveiled a driverless concept electric sedan prototype at the 2020 CES (Consumer Electronics Show) in Las Vegas. The electric sedan is basically designed to exhibit the company's technological advancements in the field of mobility. The prototype sedan was unveiled on January 7, 2020 along with other technologies being developed by Sony.

The autonomous electric car concept is the company’s first step into the automotive industry and the concept has been named as Vision-S. Sony, the world famous electronics brand developed Vision-S concept car primarily to showcase its range of advanced electronics technologies that focuses on “safer and more reliable autonomous driving” in the world of automobiles.

There are as many as 33 sensors embedded on the car that includes image sensors, solid light detection and ranging sensors; apparently this number is more than that on Tesla Model S and Model X. The sensors on this autonomous concept vehicle helps detect and monitor the presence of people and objects both inside and outside the vehicle. This prototype featured a panoramic screen spanning the dashboard and the company's 360 Reality Audio with speakers integrated into each seat.

Vision-S concept car is said to achieve 0-100kmph speed within 4.8 seconds, as claimed by the company. The vehicle is built on the platform of Magna which is capable of up to Level 4 autonomy.

Porsche is a brand that sells models in India only through the CBU route. Cayenne Coupe features V6 engine while the Turbo Coupe gets a V8 engine.

The sloping roofline and the sharp and sculpted rear portion gives the model an SUV stance. Apparently, the new model looks entirely different from its predecessor, except for the slight resemblance in its front portion. Apart from the standard panoramic sunroof, there is also an optional contoured carbon roof offered. The new Cayenne Coupe also gets a fixed roof spoiler combined with a new adaptive rear spoiler as part of Porsche Active Aerodynamics (PAA). This spoiler extends itself while the vehicle gains speed and crosses a fixed speed limit.

The lightweight sports packages offered on the Cayenne Coupe includes contoured carbon roof, sportdesign features with carbon diffuser trim, 22-inch GT design wheels and even a sports exhaust system on the Cayenne Turbo Coupe.

Inside the cabin, there are two separate seats at the rear unlike the earlier model of Cayenne Coupe. The sporty dash features a massive 12.3-inch touchscreen display unit for the infotainment system. This model gets a 625L boot space that can be increased to 1540L by folding the rear seats.
