Honda Cars India Ltd. recalled almost 2 lakhs cars in India
As part of its global recall campaign, Honda Cars India Ltd. recalled almost 2 lakhs cars in India that were found to have faulty airbags. The approximate figure of recalled cars come up to 1,90, 578 that included its top models - Accord, CR-V City, Jazz and Civic. The front passenger airbags that were manufactured by the famous Japanese company named Takata were discovered to be defective when few accident deaths were reported around the world due to airbag ruptures. Now HCIL has taken the initiative to replace these airbags for all its previous generation cars facing this issue. This replacement will be done free of cost by the company after contacting the car owner. hondacarindia.com has also provided a link where the customers can enter their vehicle's chassis number and check the order of replacement for their particular vehicle. The replacement is planned to carry out for the CR-V and Civic models at first while for the other models, it will be done in next couple of months.
Volvo launched their premium SUV, XC60 in a new avatar at a price of Rs.55.90 lakh. The second generation model appears in only one variant named Inscription and is based on the company’s in-house developed SPA platform.
Jaguar Land Rover launched their much anticipated SUV offering, Range Rover Velar in India at a starting price of Rs.78.83 lakh. Honda WR-V (Winsome Runabout Vehicle), the sub compact crossover was unveiled at the 2016 Sao Paulo Motor Show in Brazil.
