Among the recent silent launches happening in the nation, German Carmaker Audi too joined the bandwagon by introducing the facelift version of A3 Cabriolet into the market. Apparently, A3 Cabriolet was first launched in the year 2014. While the Audi A3 sedan and A4 Diesel was being expected to be launched soon, the entry of the Cabriolet facelift was indeed a surprise.
Audi A3 Cabriolet Facelift exhibits new design on its exteriors as part of the update. Dimensions have been maintained as the outgoing model, while cosmetic tweaks have been provided to enhance the presence of this soft-top vehicle. To begin with, there is a renewed headlamp cluster with full LED headlamps and DLRs (daytime running lamps). Bumpers look more aggressive and the single frame hexagonal grille stands prominent. Body lines have been chiseled to make it look more appealing. Dynamic turn indicators and rear LED tail lights add to the revisions on the exterior profile. The soft-top opens and shuts upto speeds of 50kmph and claims to keep the cabin insulated from external noise, while closed.
A 7-inch retractable display screen with MMI system, 3-spoke multi-functional steering wheel, plush Milano leather upholstery and the new Bang & Olufsen Audio system form part of the cabin updates. Safety features include five airbags, ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) with EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution) and Audi Parking Assist that has front and rear parking sensors with camera.
The All New A3 Cabriolet replaces the existing 1.8L engine and is now equipped with a new 1.4L TFSI petrol engine that develops 150hp and 250 Nm torque coupled to a 7-speed S-Tronic dual clutch transmission. It comes with a new Cylinder On Demand technology that shuts off cylinders at low speeds to reduce emissions and improve fuel efficiency. The New A3 Cabriolet claims to return mileage of 19.2kmpl. The A3 Cabriolet Facelift is being fully imported to India as the existing model. At Rs.47.98 lakhs (Ex-showroom Delhi), this convertible turns out to be one of the most affordable cars of its segment.
Indian Automobile Industry under SIAM proposes to the government to have only two GST rates for passenger vehicles instead of multiple ones. The SIAM (Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers) recently highlighted this request amongst few suggestions they were planning to present in the upcoming Union Budget 2018-19.

Honda WR-V (Winsome Runabout Vehicle), the sub compact crossover was unveiled at the 2016 Sao Paulo Motor Show in Brazil. Now, Honda is about to launch the same here in the country on March 16th, 2017. As WR-V rolls here, India will earn the name for being the first country to produce and launch it in the world. Previously named as the Jazz Twist, this crossover is based on the company’s best seller Honda Jazz but is slightly longer and taller than the latter.
