The mileage king Bajaj Platina received a new version, Platina 110 with CBS
and an updated engine which does duty on the Discover 110.It is priced at Rs.49,300(Ex-showroom).
The exterior of the Platina remains pretty much the same with the decals retweeked as that of in Discover. Dimensions have changed mildly with a 3mm increase in length and 7mm increase in height, while the fuel tank capacity has been reduced to 11L.
The engine on new Platina 110 is now a 115.5cc unit producing 8.6bhp and 9.81Nm which is 0.7bhp and 1.46Nm more than the standard version.
New Platina 110 receives Combined Braking System (CBS), a soon to be mandatory safety feature that will be implemented from April 2019. Both the front and rear are equipped with drum brakes, while front disc is also offered as optional. The rear wheels come with Nitrox Suspension on the new variant of Platina.
The price is around Rs.2000 premium to the standard version. Even though the new variant is not yet displayed on their official website, bookings for the same are being accepted at dealerships across the country. Standard Platina 100 is also being retailed in the market.
