Royal Enfield has added rear disk brakes as a standard feature on all its models now. The Bullet 350, Bullet 350 Electric start and the Bullet 500 were the only one having missed this feature. RE has added disk brakes to the standard models now.
The Bullet 350 is powered by a 346cc, single cylinder unit producing 20bhp of power and 28Nm of torque. The bullet 500 produces 28hp at 5250 rpm and 41.3Nm of torque at 4000rpm. These models don’t get ABS even as an option while the Classics and Thunderbirds receive dual rear Brakes and single-channel ABS.
According to government safety rules, all higher capacity motorcycles are needed to be equipped with ABS for safety by April of next year and every company has been moving faster towards equipping their models. We can hope that the RE Standard Bullet too will be equipped with ABS soon.
