The much awaited Tata H5x
concept vehicle Harrier was revealed in its production spec form by the company. This form maintains design close to the prototype, though few styling elements appear toned down, delivering a more stunning look than the H5x.
Tata Harrier expected to be launched in January 2019, was built at its all new world class production line that was developed based on best practices adopted from Jaguar Land Rover, all of this in a record time duration of 6 months. The new assembly line seems to be working on 90% automated functions with more than 100 robots. Hence, deliveries too may begin along with the launch of this SUV.
Tata Harrier becomes the first model designed with the Humanity Line, on the company’s new Impact Design 2.0 philosophy. The SUV is built on the Optimal Modular Efficient Global Advanced Architecture (OMEGA-ARC) that has been borrowed from the Land Rover’s D8 Architecture.
Harrier SUV as evident on the front exterior images, has an aggressive grille, projector headlamps with LED day time running lamps, silver skid plates and chunky black bumpers just under the circular fog lamps encased in the headlamp cluster. This robust looking SUV also boasts of huge ground clearance compared to its competitors. Unlike the 21 inch alloy wheels on the H5x, this production spec model will feature 17/18 inch alloy wheels.
Tata Harrier will be powered by an all-new 2L KRYOTEC four cylinder BS-VI engine that makes 140bhp and paired to six speed manual gearbox and automatic gearbox options. Bookings for Tata Harrier have begun already at the company dealerships. Price of Tata Harrier is expected to be ranging between Rs.15 lakh and Rs.20 lakh.
