Tata Motors has surprises coming back to back with more launches planned in the upcoming days. Followed by grand success with its upcoming Harrier ahead of the launch, they are now all over the news creating much bigger hype with a car soon to be introduced in the ever popular premium hatchback segment. After this, they will soon be seen developing another new car that will compete with Mahindra’s mini SUV, KUV 1OO and Maruti’s Future S.
The new compact SUV will be based on the Advanced Modular Platform same, so in the case of the 45X, but this will be tweaked to meet the needs of the SUV stance. This new car will draw design inspirations from the Harrier which follows the Impact 2.0 Design language.
With the rendered images, we can expect that the front will look like the mini version of the Harrier with headlamps positioned below the LED DRLs in the bumper. It has a more muscular look like how we have seen on many crossovers in India. The black claddings over the side panels, wheel arches and the bumpers enhance the look of the car. Tata is stepping into premium brand arena as we know, hence we can expect premium interiors too with touchscreen infotainment system and much more. For safety, we can expect airbags, ABS with EBD and the design to handle crash as well.
The engine may come with 1.2L petrol and 1L diesel from Tata Tiago in both Automatic and Manual versions. With 45X launch to happen in the mid of 2019, we can expect this to be launched somewhere in the end of 2019 or the beginning of 2020.
