Jawa Motorcycles had been the trend of the past and it was Mahindra that bought back this legendary brand back to the country last year. The iconic retro motorcycle was launched in India in 2018. As the brand turns one year of its comeback, we have yet another surprise model to welcome.
The 1929 Jawa 500 OHV that was launched during their birth year celebrates 90 years now and the company will be rolling out a similar model next month with just 90 units for sale. Those who make bookings before October 22, will be promised immediate delivery of the motorcycle upon launch.
The special edition of Jawa will feature a similar design, that of Jawa 500 OHV as mentioned earlier. A dark red with cream colour combination and chrome finishing is seen on this yet to be launched model. The seat cover is black in colour. The classic cream pinstripes with the 90th Anniversary Edition sticker on the fuel tank accentuates the looks on the special edition, reminiscent of the heritage model.
No mechanical changes are given on this model. There is no price difference either on the anniversary edition and is expected to be sold at a maximum price of Rs.1.73 lakh (Ex-Showroom).
Classic Legends introduced two classic models of Jawa last year which received an overwhelming response. The company had doubled up their production to catch up with the order demand. Apparently, the booking for both motorcycles Jawa
and Jawa Forty Two
have been stopped until March 2020 owing to increased booking. In order to promise immediate delivery for this model, they have put up a pre-book option with a deadline, i.e October 22.
Jawa has even introduced a delivery estimator tool on their official website for the customers to check the estimated delivery time of the model they choose. Jawa Perak
is expected to be launched by the end of 2019 and the company also announced their plans to launch three models in the coming 18 month period.
