Royal Enfield Recall 2019, Bullet 350 ad Electra faulty caliper bolt Royal Enfield recalls all Bullet and Electra models manufactured and sold between 20th March and 30th April 2019. The company took this decision after identifying that these models were fitted with faulty brake caliper bolt, which holds the brake hose and the brake caliper in place.

Nearly 7000 units of Bullets are said to be included in this list. The affected variants are Bullet 350, Bullet 350 ES, and Bullet 500 manufactured in the above mentioned period. The manufacturer’s service investigation identified that the torque maintained on brake caliper bolts, which were supplied by the vendor, on few of these motorcycles were not compliant with the stringent Royal Enfield quality standards.

If the torque applied on the brake caliper bolts are not right, it may affect the complete assembly which can result in poor braking performance.

No unfortunate incidents have been reported till date due to this error. However, the brand announced that in case a customer finds an issue in the bike, they are requested to get in touch with the nearest Royal Enfield service center to get it resolved. The company has promised to handle the replacement, free of cost for all affected models manufactured during this period.

There was a recall earlier from Royal Enfield for their best selling motorcycle Himalayan in 2016, for the rough engine and high noises. The company fixed the issue by replacing the faulty ones with new.
