Smaller Dominar 250cc motorcycle spied on road testing in Pune

KeralaOnRoad | Jan 13, 2020
Bajaj Dominar 250cc motorcycle spied testing, Bike News India's leading two wheeler and three wheeler maker Bajaj Auto is getting ready to launch a smaller version of their best selling motorcycle, Dominar in the Indian market. The 250cc version of the flagship motorcycle Dominar 400cc was spied testing recently in Pune.

Dominar 250 (which will be most likely the model name of this motorcycle) appeared tad small in terms of design. The spotted test mule rolled on thinner tyres and featured a low cost swingarm. At the front and rear, the bike seemed to be equipped with smaller disc brakes. The bike gets a monoshock suspension at the rear while the upside-down suspension at the front is pretty much the same.

The 250cc motorcycle features halogen headlamps, dual-panel back LED light, digital instrument cluster, sporty-looking twin exhaust pipes, and a large petrol tank just like the ongoing 400cc Dominar.

This new motorcycle may be powered by the same engine seen on KTM Duke 250. Once it is launched, the Dominar 250cc will rival against KTM Duke 200, Honda CBR 250, Royal Enfield Classic 350 and Mahindra Mojo. Bajaj intends to clear the void between Dominar 400 and Pulsar RS 200 with the launch of this 250cc model. Dominar 400 is priced at Rs.1.9 lakh (ex-showroom) in India. The price of Dominar 250 may not be expensive, considering the heavy competition among motorcycles in this segment.
