Suzuki has launched the updated Suzuki Hayabusa in India at a price of Rs.13.74 lakh for which bookings had commenced already in the first week of December.
For past 2 decades, Suzuki Hayabusa has been one of the most loved and respected bikes by all motorcyclists. This model had not seen any major change in the past years. Neither it had any other rivals other than the Kawasaki ZX-14R. Hayabusa has remained to be a king of its own class.
Being the most respected bike in the market, it has passed three generations with only minor changes. The latest model has now been released in India and the bookings for it have already begun earlier in December 2018. Bookings were being accepted at an advance amount of Rs.1 lakh. The price revision on this new upgrade is meager too from Rs.13.65 lakh to Rs.13.74 lakh, thanks to Suzuki for the localized production. This bike is built as a CKD assembled in SMIPL factory in Manesa, Gurugram.
The new iteration of Hayabusa is powered by the same engine which is a 1340cc unit producing 197bhp of power and 115Nm of torque. It also gets new paint schemes with Metallic Oort grey and Glam Sparkle black.
Hayabusa is now not available in the European market due to its emission norms and soon will be not available in India too as this engine is not a BS VI complaint, but to sort this out Suzuki is working on a Turbocharged engine that will replace the existing one to meet the power and comply with emission norms.
