Triumph Motorcycles India launched the 2019 version of Scrambler 1200XC in India at Rs.10,73,000 (Ex Showroom). The new Scrambler 1200 is available in two versions in the Global market, the road based XC and the off road based XE. However India gets only the XC version.
The 2019 Triumph Scrambler 1200 XC is said to be the first motorcycle to have integrate Gopro control system in the world. A dream come true feature for bikers, this system allows the rider to take photos and videos on the go, using the bike switch gear.
New Scrambler 1200 XC features fork projectors, shield for dual high mounter exhaust, LED headlamps and a full color TFT screen with Bluetooth connectivity. Other electronic features included are Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), a USB port and heated grips.
This motorcycle is powered by the engine borrowed from Triumph Thruxton. But this engine is relatively different in tune. The engine on Scrambler 1200 XC makes 90hp at 7,400rpm and 110Nm at 3,950rpm, which is less when compared with Thruxton. However, the power output figures are more than Bonneville T120 and 2019 Street Scrambler. The engine is mated to a 6 speed gearbox.
Suspension duties are handled by 45mm fully adjustable Showa USD fork at front and a set of fully adjustable Ohlins dual shocks at the rear. Braking jobs are managed by dual front discs and a Brembo M50 four-piston caliper and a dual-piston Brembo with a single disc at the rear.
At present, this motorcycle doesn’t have any direct rivals in India, but we can expect competition from Ducati Scrambler 1100.
