BMW Motorrad India launched its two new motorcycles in India, the naked street bike in its roadster range of motorcycles called R 1250 R and the dedicated tourer model named R 1250 RT.
Both these BMW motorcycles in India comes with a 1254cc engine backed by the 18-litres fuel tank. The engine unit develops 136hp of peak output (100 kW ) of power at 7750rpm and 143 Nm of torque at 6250rpm. These two machines can cruise comfortably at speeds over 200kmph.
BMW Tourer R 1250 RT is equipped with additional equipment cluster which includes Luggage rack, Center stand, Integral pannier cases that too in body colour, etc. The R 1250 RT also gets an adjustable gear lever in addition to the adjustable clutch lever and handbrake lever provided in the BMW Roadster R 1250 R.
Hill Start Control is available in both the 1250cc bikes from BMW. The BMW ShiftCam technology optimises the power delivery in every engine speed range.
The new BMW Tourer has three additional packages - comfort, touring, and dynamic. The comfort package includes Central Locking System and Anti-Theft Alarm System along with other features. The dynamic package includes Riding Modes Pro, Dynamic Traction Control, Headlight Pro, and Daytime Riding Light.
The BMW Roadster R 1250 R costs Rs.15,95,000 while the Tourer R 1250 RT costs Rs.22,50,000. The prices mentioned here are ex-showroom prices and on-road prices will vary slightly.
