Carberry Motorcycles has launched their first ever Indian made motorcycle named Carberry Double Barrel 1000 at a price of Rs.7.35 lakh (ex-factory). This custom Royal Enfield maker from Australia had begun their Indian operations last year as they set out to develop a 1000cc Royal Enfield V-twin engine, built using two 500cc engines from the same brand. This engine was launched in India two months ago at a price of Rs.4.96 lakh (ex-factory). Carberry Double Barrel 1000 is the product of this new engine and hence the name.
The air cooled V-twin engine in this motorcycle is coupled to a 5-speed gearbox and makes 52bhp worth power and 82Nm of torque. These motorcycles will be manufactured at their facility in Bhilai, Chhatisgarh.
While specifications of the aforesaid are yet to be known, it has been announced that the company will produce 29 motorcycles in the first batch for which the booking amount is Rs.1 lakh. The delivery time will be 5 to 10 months in the order of booking done.
