Hero Motorcycles and Scooters Limited launched their first ever 125cc scooter Hero Destini 125 in India. Initially named as Duet 125, this model first made its appearance at the Auto Expo 2018 but now the scooter had been renamed as Destini 125.

This new family scooter comes with a host of features including the start stop system or the Hero i3S technology, first of its kind in the scooter segment. This start stop system was introduced by Hero in its range of motorcycles, to automatically turn off the engine when it is in idle position for more than 5 seconds. Destini 125 is the first scooter to receive this technology attributed to fuel efficiency.

Hero Destini 125 is equipped with a 125cc, air cooled, single cylinder engine that produces 8.7bhp and 10.2Nm of peak torque. This engine is fine tuned to produce better performance for efficient riding in the city traffic. Telescopic front forks and hydraulic rear monoshocks are provided for smooth suspension while the braking duties are handled by drum brakes with CBS (Combined Braking System) as standard.

Other features include side stand indicator, under seat mobile charging port, boot light, external fuel filler cap, remote key, semi digital instrument cluster and many more. Hero Destini 125 is available in two variants- LX priced at Rs.54,650 and VX priced at Rs.57,500.

New Hero Destini 125 competes against Suzuki Access 125, Tata Ntorq and Honda Activa 125.
