Ever since Hero and Honda parted ways, the former had been paying royalty to Honda for the technology they continued to use for their motorcycles. That’s when Hero decided to build their own R&D unit and later, as a result, Splendor i3S was launched.
All new Hero Achiever 150cc is yet another production from the brains of Hero team. Hero MotoCorp has designed a commuter here, targeting the Executive crowd, while giving birth to this new motorcycle.The Achiever 150 comes with a 4 stroke single cylinder air cooled engine that delivers 13.6PS at 8000rpm and 12.8Nm at 5000rpm thereby promising good rideability. The engine is coupled with a 5 speed gearbox and the updated carburetor complies with BS IV norms. This commuter is handled by telescopic forks at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear.
This new 150cc motorcycle comes with more innovative features and better performance than its predecessor. One of the stand out feature of Hero vehicles is their patented i3S system or the Idle Start Stop System, which turns the ignition off automatically, while idle for more than 5 seconds and springs back to action in just one switch.There is also an Auto Headlamp On feature, which is a first in segment one, that turns on the headlamp along with the ignition and turns off when the engine turns off. Few other features include the side stand indicator, zero maintenance battery, and tubeless tyres and so on.
The Hero Achiever 2016 is available in three metallic shades- Black, Red, and Grey. It is available in two variants, Hero Achiever 150 Drum Brake (ex-showroom price at Rs.61,800) and Hero Achiever 150 Disc Brake (ex-showroom price at Rs.62,800). The New Hero Achiever 150 claims to achieve a mileage of 57kmpl in city and 65kmpl in highways.
