Hero Motocorp launched the new variant of people’s favourite motorcycle tagged as Super Splendor in India on Wednesday at an attractive price of Rs.57,190 (Ex- showroom, Delhi)
The Company owning more than 50 % share in the domestic motorcycle segment says that the newly launched bike is targeted at young professionals.

Being a dominant leader in the 125cc segment with more than 55% marketshare,the new stylish and performance-oriented Super Splendor is a significant step to further consolidate this leadership.
The Super Splendor comes with a new air-cooled 4-stroke single cylinder OHC 125cc TOD (Torque-on-Demand) engine producing a maximum power output of 11.4 PS @ 7500 rpm and maximum torque of 11 Nm @6000 rpm. Added to this, Hero offers this new commuter the popular Hero i3S technology (idle stop and start system).
With the addition of new features and a refined engine, the company claims that the motorcycle will offer 27% more power and 6% more torque than the previous generation Splendor. Top speed is claimed to be 94 km/h.
Other interesting features of this motorcycle include the mandatory All Time Headlamp On (AHO), Side Stand Indicator,Side Reflector, an updated seat profile, a wider rear tyre, large under seat storage and side utility box with lock.
The technical side of Super Splendor does make a good impression, but will it be as good or better than the previous generation Splendor? We’ll have to wait for that.
