Yet another silent launch in the Automobile market, HF Deluxe i3S was launched in India recently at a price tag of Rs.46,630 (Ex-showroom New Delhi). While uncertainty prevails over the number of variants this motorcycle has, news confirm the availability of a self-start variant for now. However, it can be assumed that the kick-start variant may be offered at a lower price if at all it becomes available in the market.
This all new commuter developed using the iSmart technology exhibits striking body graphics with i3S badge on its profile making it intelligent inside and handsome outside. Some other features include AHO (Auto Headlamp On) and 18 inch wheels. The new HF Deluxe i3S has a decent ground clearance of 165mm and a kerb weight of 110kg. It gets 130mm drum brake at both ends while suspension duties upfront are handled by telescopic hydraulic shock absorbers. At its rear a swing arm with two-step hydraulic shock absorbers carries out the suspension duties.
The HF Deluxe i3S is fitted with the same 97.2cc engine as the HF Deluxe, coupled to a four-speed gearbox that develops 8.36PS power and 8.05Nm of peak torque. The most attractive feature about this motorcycle is that it is based on the iSmart technology that promises better fuel efficiency by shutting down the engine automatically when not in use for more than 5 seconds thereby preventing loss of fuel. The engine can be restarted by pressing the clutch lever after this shut down function. Period!
