Hero Motocorp launched their latest motorcycle Xtreme 200S in India at Rs.98,500 (Ex-showroom Delhi). This model is a fully faired version of Xtreme 200R and hence costs Rs.7600 more than the naked sibling.
Hero feels that this new model will meet the purpose on what it has been designed for, rendering its customers with a bike that sports character and comfort in the daily commute. The fairing will also provide better wind protection compared to its brother, thanks to the fully faired design.
Hero Xtreme 200S, until the official launch declaration was known in various names like HX200R, Karizma and so on. But now, officially called Xtreme 200S, this model comes with a few cosmetic tweaks that keep it distinct from the sibling.
It has been quite sometime since Hero launched a fully faired model and hence boasts of being the best in its segment. It gets new design with character lines across its body, even though a couple of features including alloy wheels, handle bar and exhaust pipe has been carried forward from the X stable.
The full LED headlight and tail light, Bluetooth enabled instrument cluster are other attractions on Xtreme 200S. It gets a 199.6cc carbureted, air cooled twin valve engine that makes 18.4bhp and 17.1Nm of maximum torque through a five speed gearbox unit. This new fully faired motorcycle from Hero will compete against Suzuki Gixxer SF and is being offered in three colours- Sports Red, Maple Brown and Panther Black.
