TorkT6X, India’s only All Electric Motorcycle was recently unveiled by Tork Motorcycles, a pune based bike manufacturer. After seven years of immense research and development, the company seems to be shining at the pinnacle with the production of this new motorbike.
Targeted at the urban commuters, Tork motors claims that the T6X replicates a 200cc petrol motorcycle and promises a range of 100 kms on a full charge. The full charge approximately takes around 2 hrs on a 15A socket. The battery life is expected to last around one lakh kilometres approximately.
The T6X comes fitted with an 8bhp electric motor mated to an automatic transmission which delivers an instant torque as soon as the ignition turns on and is set to go. The bike is equipped with telescopic front forks and monoscopic suspension at its rear. The braking power comes from the front and rear discs.
Tork T6X is not just a first of its kind motorbike, but also comes loaded with plenty of first in segment features. It works on the company’s popular TIROS (Tork Intuitive Response Operating System) which lets the company remain connected with you to offer the best of services. This cloud operating system gets updated over the air and keeps adding more features on each updation. It also allows you to select your driving modes and thereby alters the speed levels accordingly.
T6x has a digital instrument cluster with navigation system and smartphone integration. Tork has loaded the T6x with a superior range of advanced safety features which essentially includes the ABS (Anti Braking System) and DRLs (Day time running lamps). T6x will be available initially in black and white shade.
The rate of lithium having gone down is said to have helped the company keep the launch pricing of the T6X at Rs.1, 24,999. Tork Motorcycles has started accepting prebookings online without any deposit amount and plans to start delivering vehicles by next year.
