The Suzuki Hayabusa will now set you back by Rs 13.57 lakh, making it almost 15 per cent cheaper than the CBU model that came before it, which was priced at nearly Rs 16 lakh (both ex-showroom, Delhi). As you'd expect,Suzuki Motorcycles India is setting up a new assembly line for the Hayabusa, since such a high performance machine demands precision of the highest order.

The Bollywood starrer, the fame from the “Dhoom” movie series, Suzuki Hayabusa MY 2017 is out on the streets after first delivery to a customer at Delhi. Gaurav Monga of Delhi was the lucky one who got the first unit of this locally assembled superbike Suzuki Hayabusa was initially brought to the country as CBU, but then Suzuki Motorcycles India moved a step ahead to import CKD kits of this machine and assemble at their Gurgaon facility. The good news that came along was that the prices were cut down to Rs.13.57 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) while the specifications remained the same as a CBU one. Local assembling of the bike brought a price slash of approximately 2.5 lakhs compared to the CBU model.
The 1340cc 4 cylinder liquid cooled 4 stroke engine delivers 194bhp and 154Nm of torque. The motor is mated to a 6 speed gearbox and easily touches a 299kmph mark on the speed gauge.
Reports claim that Suzuki does not wish to stop with Hayabusa, but has plans to bring more superbikes into the Indian Market as CKD units. It seems like other Motorcycle companies like Kawasaki, Benelli and Triumph who are already into this field will start facing tough challenge in the coming years.
