KTM has launched the much awaited KTM RC 125 at an introductory price of Rs 1.47 Lakh in India (Ex-Showroom Delhi). The company dealerships have started accepting bookings for the same while deliveries are expected to commence by the end of this month.
The new KTM RC 125 derives inspiration from its own brand’s MotoGP machine RC16 and will be available in two colour schemes. This new motorcycle is built on the popular steel trellis frame and also features a triple clamp handlebar and twin projector headlights with DRL.
Powering the new fully-faired KTM RC 125 is a single-cylinder, 4-valve, DOHC, liquid-cooled, fuel injected, 124.7cc engine as seen on KTM Duke 125 and produces 14.3bhp worth power and 12Nm of peak torque. The engine is further mated to a 6-speed constant mesh manual transmission. New RC 125 claims to have a mileage of 41.3kmpl.
For smooth suspension, the KTM RC 125 features WP upside-down forks in the front and a mono-shock at the rear. Braking power is rendered by 300mm disc in the front and 230mm disc at the rear. The motorcycle also gets other important features like single-channel ABS by Bosch, rear lift mitigation, and 17-inch alloy wheels.
The dimensions of this new entrant are as follows; length: 1,977 mm, seat height: 835 mm, ground clearance 157 mm and the wheelbase is 1,341 mm. Fuel tank capacity is 9.5L with a dry weight of 154.2 Kg.
This newcomer comes at a premium price compared to Duke 125 and its only competitor will be Yamaha R15 V3.0.
