Italian motorcycle giant MV Agusta had unveiled its new motorcycle, Dragster 800 in the 800cc segment in India. The bike is expected to be launched in 2018. MV Agusta has a very peculiar style when it comes to designing.
The whole appeal that the company tends to bring in is indeed an eye catching one. Be it the exhausts or the seating position, MV Agusta has its own charm. Following the tradition, the company has yet again come up with the MV Agusta Dragster 800.
It is claimed that the new motorcycle will be a limited edition one named under the category RVS, which stands for “RepartoVeicoliSpeciali” meaning Special Vehicle Department. So far, the bike manufacturer has only given a glimpse of what could be expected in the market. The silhouette design revealed hints that the variant is a scrambler based iteration. However, only time can tell what exactly this retro looking bike is all about.
Powered by a 798cc inline 3-cylinder engine, the MV Agusta Brutale Dragster 800 churns out 125PS of power at 11600 rpm with a torque of 81Nm at 8600 rpm. The bike gets a 6 speed transmission assisted by electronic shifts. The front forks are adjustable Marzocchi inverted forks while the rear gets an adjustable Sach monoshock. The Dragster comes with Brembo 320mm dual disc brakes in the front. The rear gets a single 220mm Brembo disc with rear wheel lift-up mitigation.
The bike is expected to be priced at 12.70 lakh INR in India. Currently the bike is sold at 15,198 dollars in the US which is approximately Rs.9.79 lakh here.
We’ll have to wait until the bike is launched officially to know more on the features, performance and ride quality of the bike.
