Li-ions Elektrik Solutions, a start-up electric vehicle manufacturer based at Gurugram launched their electric scooter, Spock in the country at a price ranging from Rs.65,000 to Rs.99,000. The delivery of this new model of Li-ions seemingly designed for commercial purposes is likely to begin by August 2019.
There is still clarity needed on its use either as a personal or commercial two-wheeler, due to its design with a basket at the front and a storage box behind the pillion seat. Spock electric scooter receives many of the features found on electric two-wheelers trending in the country now and rivals against 22Kymco iFlow,Okinawa Praise and Ather 340. It is equipped with a digital instrument cluster, GPS navigation, anti-theft alarm, USB charging point and many more. It also features two riding modes; Economy and Power that delivers 130kms and 100kms on full charge respectively. Spock, specifically designed for the traffic and road conditions in India claims a top speed of 45kmph.
Spock is powered by a 2.9kWh lithium-ion swappable battery along with a 2.1kW BLDC motor that works to produce 2.85PS worth power output and continuous power delivery of 1.63kW along with 2.3 Nm of torque. The battery can be fully charged within 4 hours as claimed by the company. Spock e-scooter is available in six colours; white, black, red, yellow, blue and green.
