Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Limited has launched its first 250cc naked bike in India at an ex-showroom price of Rs. 1,61,048.
4-stroke, 1-cylinder, oil-cooled 249cc engine with SOHC, 4 valve system give rise to a torque of 22.6Nm @ 7500rpm and power of 26.5ps @ 9000rpm. The motorcycle is equipped with a fuel-injection system and a 6-speed transmission.
The motorcycle possesses many aggressive looks than its predecessor. The new Suzuki gixxer 250 comes with a lot of revisions; freshly designed LED headlamp, dual-channel ABS, an updated twin-muffler, and a split seat to name a few.
The motorcycle features alloy wheels and a 300mm front disc brake which is bigger than the 266mm front disc seen in the older version. The front fork is larger now with a 41mm diameter.
The manufacturer provides the necessary accessories such as bumper bracket, DC Socket to charge a mobile phone, knuckle cover, saddlebags and a skid plate. The knuckle cover enhances the stylish looks as well as protects the knuckles in the event of a crash.
With the arrival of Gixxer 250 naked bike, the quarter-litre bike segment is getting crowded. Yamaha FZ25 and KTM Duke 250 are the direct rivals of the new Suzuki motorcycle. TVS Apache RTR 200 4v, Bajaj NS 200, KTM Duke 200 are the alternate options for those who prefer a lesser displacement engine.
