The Suzuki Gixxer made its entry into the market in September 2014 in the country. Thanks to its new design and performance, the vehicle did rose into one among people’s favorite bikes. This year, Gixxer with all its design and engine spec being the same gets a Single Channel ABS unit which is similar to the one seen in the Gixxer SF.
The new GixxerABS variant was launched recently at a price tag of Rs 87,250 in India. The new variant is Rs 6,321 more expensive than the previous model without the ABS. The addition of ABS is expected to give a boost to the already blooming motorcycle variant from Suzuki. The Gixxer , eversince its entry into the 150cc motorcycle segment has had a neat graph of sales in the country.
The new Gixxer’s engine spec remains the same with the 155cc single-cylinder 4-stroke engine capable of producing 14PS of power and 14Nm of torque at 6000 rpm. The gearbox is a 5 speed unit. A 260mm disc brake in the front and 240mm disc at the rear handles the braking part just well with the ABS unit. Telescopic forks in the front and monoshock in the rear serves the suspension part in the new Gixxer.
Auto Headlamp On (AHO) headlights, fully digital speedometer , LED tail lamp, three-spoke light wheel, chrome-tipped twin exhaust and two piece rear fender continue to be offered on the Gixxer ABS Variant. Customers have the option to choose the Gixxer ABS from different shades- Glass sparkle black, Metallic Sonic Silver and Metallic Triton Blue respectively.
