Suzuki India launched the much anticipated motorcycle of the year V-Strom 650XT at a price of Rs.7.46 lakh (Ex-showroom Delhi).This model can very well be called a miniature version of V-Strom 1000 in terms of design and features.
V-Strom 650 has two variants in the international market, of which only the XT variant has reached India. It gets anodized wire spoke rims on the 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels that are equipped with Bridgestone Battlax Adventure A40 tubeless tyres. Suspension is provided by 43mm telescopic front forks and preload adjustable monoshock at the rear.
V-Strom 650 is powered by a 645cc, four stroke, liquid cooled V-twin engine that produces 70bhp and 66Nm of peak torque paired to a six speed gearbox. Other features on this adventure tourer include three stage traction control, three way height adjustable windscreen, ABS, Suzuki easy start system etc.
Seat height is 835mm on the V-Strom 650XT which has a huge fuel tank that hold 20 litres of fuel ready to set the rider on any adventure tour. V-Strom 650XT comes to the country as CKD units. Kawasaki Versys 650 will be the main rival of this new model from Suzuki.
