TVS Motor Company recently launched the all new Apache RTR 160 4v at an eye catching price of Rs.81,490- Rs.89,990. The Motorcycle comes in three variants- Carb front disk brake, Carb double disc and EFi front and rear disc brake.
The newly launched Apache is updated with better design, suspension and a better chassis. Deliveries are expected to start by next week.
The design draws inspiration from its elder sibling, the Apache RTR 200 4v and is based on a style inspired from the Darken concept showcased at the Auto expo 2014.
The design language is sharp in all senses with tank shrouds,LED lights, instrument panel, an updated showa suspension and the Chassis. The gas charged twin shock absorbers gets upgraded to a monoshock unit on the new machine. It gets a seat height of 800mm while the ground clearance stands at 180mm.
Powered by a 159cc SI (Spark Ignition) engine, the Apache RTR 160 4v develops 16bhp (EFi Variant) and 14.8 Nm of torque (EFi Variant). The Carb version produces a little over 16.2bhp in terms of power. Both EFi and Carb variants clock 60kmph.
In the 150cc segment, the RTR 160 4v marks stiff competition to Yamaha FZ-S, Honda Hornet 160R, Suzuki Gixxer, HONDA X Blade, Bajaj Pulsar NS160.
