Tata Power opened up two more new Electric vehicle charging stations at two shopping malls in the metro city of Mumbai. The first EV charging station by the company was installed in Vikhroli last year. Indian Automobile Industry under SIAM proposes to the government to have only two GST rates for passenger vehicles instead of multiple ones. Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari warned the automobile industry to come up with advanced technology to develop vehicles using alternative fuels instead of petrol and diesel. The latest one to hear is the mandatory requirement of a valid PUC (Pollution under Control) certificate for insurance renewal. The Honourable Supreme Court under a bench headed by Justice Madan B. Lokur and Justice Deepak Gupta released an order stating that all vehicles in the Delhi-NCR should have a valid PUC certificate to get the insurance renewed annually.

Tygr, a Kolkata-based cab service planner, and provider is trying to take a new step and bring a change in the cab service sector in Mumbai city. The founder and CEO of Tygr, Mr. Aditya Poddar said they are planning to introduce the concept of two wheeler taxis in the city. If the rules of the state allow, the company plans to start the same as soon as possible. Tygr approached Mumbai city initially with 5000 new cabs on roads. Nissan launched its popular mid-size sedan, 2017 Sunnyin India in a new style on January 17 this year. Prices begin at Rs.7.91 lakh (ex- showroom Delhi) for this C-segment sedan which comes with an earthly new shade and a handful of cosmetic changes. The new Sandstone Brown exterior colour accompanied with chrome door handles and an optional all-black interior with new upholstery adds splendour to the 2017 model. However, it is still available in other existing shades as well.
Sony India launched their new product XAV-AX100, an In-car audio system that not only plays music, but also navigates, communicates and enables smart driving through voice control or touch panel control. The XAV- AX100 is compatible with Android Auto and Apple Car play which is a common feature on almost all vehicles launched recently. Navigation has not been enabled for Car Play in India though.
Honda Mobilio was revealed earlier this week at the company’s Indonesian website ahead of its global launch. Images have disclosed the cosmetic changes undergone by the car and it does look impressive. It looks like a good deal of effort has been taken by Hondato enhance the looks of Mobilio. Next time you want to buy a car, you may have to find a parking space for the same as the Union Government has proposed for a new rule that will make it mandatory for all new car owners in Delhi to have a parking space for their vehicle. If implemented, the rule will demand a certificate from the nearby police station after a physical verification by the transport department that proves parking space availability for your new vehicle. Only then can the vehicle registration be done. In short, if you don’t manage to have a parking lot, you will not be able to register the vehicle.

BMW India President, Frank Schloeder had announced that the company will soon feature petrol engines on all their existing models and the process seems to have begun.
