Porsche India launched an All-wheel Drive Panamera Turbo in the country with price ranging from Rs.1.93 crore to Rs.2.05 crore (Ex-showroom Maharashtra) where there will be an executive version too for this model. The German sports car maker introduced the second generation Turbo with plenty of cosmetic upgrades on the vehicle as a whole. Engine, transmission, chassis and the design has gone for a complete transformation to provide it the looks of a sports car while maintaining the comfort of a luxury saloon.
Porsche has launched four cars here in a row within the first quarter which itself depicts the company’s commitment and trust towards the Indian Automobile industry. The Panamera Turbo second generation is built on the brand’s popular MSB (Modularer Standard-Baukasten or Modular Standard drive train system) architecture that features a front engine rear-wheel drive seen across all new Panamera cars launched recently.
On the exteriors, the Panamera Turbo gets a new pair of LED headlamps; horizontal LED tail lamps with integrated four point brake lights, newly designed boot lid and a more prominent rear bumper with quad exhaust system. Interiors provide comfort and luxury in equal measures with a host of features. Even the rear seats get an infotainment system with removable screens integrated behind the headrests of front seats. The luxurious interiors of the Panamera Turbo is enhanced with features like LED screens with smartphone integration, 12.3 inch touch screen system for online digital functions, adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist that even recognizes traffic signs, Park Assist that includes reverse camera and surround view.
Under the hood, this luxury sports saloon is charged with a 4L V-8 Petrol engine that is capable of firing power worth 543bhp and 770Nm of torque. This motor is married to a 8-speed PDK transmission (Porsche DoppelKupplung meaning Porsche dual-clutch transmission) while it lets the vehicle sprint from 0-100kmph in 3.8 seconds.
In short, All-new Panamera Turbo looks tad more impressive in terms of design, comfort and features than its predecessor.
Audi launched special design editions of Audi Q3 and Q7 in India at Rs.40.76 lakh and Rs.82.37 lakh respectively. The new design editions get cosmetic tweaks on the exteriors while their interiors receive additional equipment
