When Tata launched its most awaited car Nexon in the compact SUV segment last year, the response was overwhelming. The company has now launched yet another variant under this car, Tata Nexon XZ.
The Diesel trim of this variant start at Rs.8.99 lakh while the Petrol Nexon XZ begins at Rs.7.99 lakh. The Tata Nexon XZ is positioned in such a way that it attractively provides premium features to its customers, Says Vivek Srivatsa - Business Unit Head of Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles.
The Tata Nexon comes with a bunch of premium features that include 6.5 inch ‘ConnectNext’ HD touchscreen infotainment system, dual front airbags , projector headlamps, height adjustable driver seats, reverse camera assist, height adjustable seat belts, ABS with EBD and corner stability control as standard.
The company claims a mileage of 17kmpl for the petrol variant and 21.5kmpl for the diesel variant. Talking about space, the Nexon is equipped with a 350ltr boot space giving enough room for your luggage.
Tata Nexon XZ receives the same 1.2L Petrol and 1.5L turbocharged diesel engine as other existing variants. The Petrol engine produces 108bhp and 170Nm of peak torque while the diesel engine makes around 108bhp worth power and 260Nm of peak torque. Both engines are mated to 6-speed manual transmission.
Apart from the dual tone shades (XZ+ Variant), there’s also an Aero accessory package ranging from Rs.30,610 to Rs. 61,574 which the company had earlier showcased at the Auto Expo 2018. With a ground clearance of 209mm and a spacious rear space, this car is a major competition to Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, FORD EcoSport and HONDA WR V.
The Tata Nexon steps into the market loaded with so many new features giving enough reasons for people to particularly choose this car. With the new design and exciting features, the company claims that ‘this is another step into making the brand more aspirational’.
