A new Platinum Edition of Toyota Etios has been launched by the company with more features than the outgoing model. This limited edition comes available in both trims- petrol variants priced at Rs.7.84 lakh and diesel variants priced at Rs.8.94 lakh (Both ex-showroom prices, Delhi).
There are neither any mechanical upgrades received nor any cosmetic changes seen on the exterior of the model. On the feature front, the new version gets an all-new additional paint scheme named Phantom Brown along with the white and silver paint.Apart from this, it also receives dual tone seats in faux leather, redesigned armrest, 6.8 inch touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth and USB connectivity, voice recognition feature and remote control option. The new Platinum edition of Etios is available only in its sedan model and not on the Liva hatchback. However, a possibility of the same cannot be ruled out either as these models may get phased out in another few years.
The Petrol variant of Etios Platinum is powered by a 1.5L engine that produces 89PS of power and 132Nm of peak torque while the Diesel variant gets a 1.4L four-cylinder turbocharged engine that churns 67PS worth power and 170Nm of peak torque.
