BMW has added a new M Sport edition to the BMW X1 sDrive20d variant in India priced at Rs.41.50 lakh (Ex showroom India).
The most important feature on the new BMW X1 is the M aerodynamic package that features larger air vents on the front bumper and an integrated diffuser on the rear bumper. The new M-Sport trim also gets striking enhancements on its exteriors that include side skirts, body colored additional cladding on the wheel arches, popular kidney grills with gloss black slates, M division runners on the door sills etc.. The standard features of BMW X1such as 18 inch alloy wheels, LED DrLs and LED headlamps are also included on this M-sport edition.
Interiors on the new BMW X1 claim a host of features that include ambient lighting, two-zone climate control, multi-functional steering wheel with leather wraps and a head-up display, panoramic sunroof, 6.5 inch touch screen infotainment system compatible with iDrive, navigation, Apple Carplay, Android Auto and other BMW exclusive apps etc.
X1 sDrive20d M-Sport is powered by the same 2.0- litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged diesel engine that generates a maximum power of 187bhp and peak torque of 400Nm. The engine is coupled to an 8 speed automatic transmission with launch control and paddle shifters.
BMW, the brand that never compromises on safety has included all essential features such as ABS with brake assist, six airbags, traction control, Dynamic Stability Control, ISOFIX child seat anchors, run flat tyres and so on.
BMW hopes to widen the presence of this model in the Indian market by launching the M-Sport edition that is ready to compete with Mercedes Benz GLA, Volvo XC40 and other premium SUVs from the segment.
