Hyundai India launched the CVT transmission of their best seller hatchback Elite i20 in two variants namely Magna Executive and Asta. Priced at Rs.7.04 lakh and Rs.8.16 lakh respectively, these two trims fall below the competitors in the segment making them the most affordable of the lot.
On the exteriors, the new Elite i20 gets glossy cascading grille, renewed bumpers, 16-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, smoked projector headlamps, LED DRLs, positioning and cornering lamps, new tail gate design and a dual tone paint scheme. Interiors get multi-function steering wheel, seven inch touch screen infotainment system with navigation and smart phone integration, sliding front arm rest, rear ac vents and many more features that have adorned the Elite i20 manual version as well.
Safety features include dual airbags,- ABS, auto door lock as standard while the top variants get ISOFIX and impact sensing auto door unlock feature along with reverse camera.
The two variants, Magna and Asta are equipped with petrol engines while the CVT unit is an attractive addition to the i20 series. The new 1.2 litre four cylinder petrol engine produces 83bhp worth power and 115Nm of torque.
Bookings for Elite i20 are open at all company dealerships across the country. Deliveries will begin mostly by the end of the month.
