Mercedes Benz E Class

Mercedes-Benz has a very peculiar sense of designing for all its series of vehicles. The E-Class like other class models of Mercedes-Benz does stand apart for its style of designing. This car received good appeal among the young buyers in the country ever since its debut.

The All New E-Class is now ready to appear in a crossover type variant with all its off-roading capabilities. The new variant All Terrain is said to be limited to a four wheel-drive variant only and is actually another version of the E-Class Estate.

To add the elements of a true off-roading vehicle, plastic cladding is seen wrapped around the edges of this All-Terrain. The new version also gets an additional 29mm ground clearance keeping in mind the purpose of the proposed design. The All-Terrain is expected to get a skid plate which will protect the engine from any unpredicted obstruction.

The E-Class All-Terrain is said to feature a 2.0-litre turbo charged diesel engine capable of producing 192 PS of power and over 400Nm of torque. The engine comes mated with a 9 speed automatic transmission powering all four wheels. The vehicle will also include an All-Terrain Driving mode with other standard modes. Mercedes-Benz has brought in all the regular safety features in the All-Terrain including the Brake Assist System, Attention Assist, Skid Control and Adaptive Braking System.

However, the interiors of the All-Terrain match with that of the E-Class Sedan. The vehicle features a list of gears which are inspired from the Avantgarde interior line including the optional “Exclusive” and “Designo” fitments. Other features of the All-Terrain include stainless steel sports pedals followed by rubber studs, aluminium-carbon parts and floor mats engraved in ‘All-Terrain’. The vehicle is also said to feature a multiple angle camera support and a 12.3 inch infotainment screen.

Mercedes E-Class All-Terrain is yet to be launched in India. The official price for this All-Terrain is yet to be confirmed but it is likely to be launched at around Rs.70 Lakh. The All-Terrain could be expected to be launched in the country in June 2018 as per reports.
