By KOR team | Pubilshed:27-Jun-2018

Mitsubishi finally launched the all new outlander in India at a price range starting from Rs.31.54 lakh. It took almost 6 years for Mitsubishi to finally come up with a vehicle and it is a SUV. The Outlander was previously launched as a facelift in the international market in 2015 but it took a while to reach the Indian market.

The New Outlander is powered by a 2.4-litre MIVEC petrol engine which efficiently delivers 165PS of power and an ample torque of 222Nm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed CVT gearbox and Multi Select 4WD system. The company claims that the new Outlander can clock 0-100 in just over 11.1 seconds. However, a diesel engine is not in the list for now.

The exterior of the vehicle gets more of a premium SUV look and the design language speaks for itself. The Outlander can now be seen with LED front fog lamps, LED DRLs and LED rear Combination lamps adding to the list of highlights in the vehicle. Unlike the previous Outlander, the new one gets rather sharper edges and a lot of angular elements that enhance the look of those headlamps in the front.

New Outlander measures 4696mm in length and 1810mm in width. The height of the SUV is measured as 1710mm. The New Mitsubishi Outlander gets a standard ground clearance of 190mm. As we look inside, we find that the new Outlander in India is a spacious seven seater.

The interiors are treated with features like Rockford Fosgate Acoustic design premium sound system followed by 4 speakers and a 710W-8 channel amplifier. Keeping in mind the safety of the passengers, the Outlander is equipped with 7 Airbags, ABS with EBD, ASC and HAS as standard since there’s only one variant for the current model.

The other features in the list include dual-zone automatic climate control, electric sunroof and electric parking brake with auto-hold.

The New Mitsubishi Outlander comes as a CBU to India and the on-road price is said to be 36.9 Lakh INR. Major rivals in the battle for the Outlander could be the new Toyota Fortuner, Skoda Kodiaq, Ford Endeavour and Volkswagen Tiguan.
