Porsche launched the most affordable Macan in India at Rs.69.98 lakh. This facelift model is being offered in two variants, Macan and Macan S where the top spec variant S is offered at Rs.85.03 lakh (Ex-Showroom Price). However, the earlier variant Turbo won’t be available in this facelift version.
Last year, the Porsche Macan Facelift was unveiled in China at a global event. New Macan draws inspiration from its elder sibling Porsche Cayenne and gets revised design along with improved features and technology. The prices have been made affordable this time as per the company’s strategy to widen their customer base.
Porsche Macan 2019 gets new grille, LED headlamps and redesigned bumper at the front while the rear features a striking LED strip connecting the tail lamps as the most important highlight. The model also gets new 20 inch alloy wheels.
Inside the cabin, Porschehas enriched this baby SUV with their latest Communication Management System on a 10.9 inch full HD touchscreen infotainment system. An optional GT sports steering wheel too is on offer that features Sport Response Button, inspired by the Porsche 911.
The base variant of Macan is powered by a 2L turbo in-line four cylinder engine that makes 245bhp and 370Nm of torque; with a mileage of 10.5kmpl. Macan S on the other hand is equipped with a twin turbo charged engine that makes 350bhp and 480Nm of peak torque, with a mileage of 11.23kmpl. Both engines are mated to automatic gearbox units. Top Speeds are claimed to be 227kmph on the standard Macan and 254kmph on the top spec that sprints from 0-100kmph in approximately 5.3 seconds.
New Macan is available in four funky colour options- Miami Blue, Mamba Green Metallic, Dolomite Silver Metallic and Crayon. Bookings for this model had begun in June 2019. An all-electric version of Macan is expected to be launched around 2021 as per reports.
