Renault Captur 2019 launched with updated features and lesser price

Renault updated their crossover Captur to the 2019 version, making it compliant with new safety norms at a starting price of Rs.9.50 lakh (Ex-Showroom Delhi). Most vehicle brands have been updating the existing models with these new safety norms that will be applicable from October 2019.

The 2019 version of Renault Captur is now offered in only two variants, RXE and Platine that are available in both petrol and diesel options. The mid-level variants, RXL and RXT which were available on the existing model, have been discontinued as part of the update.

All variants in this updated version come with driver and passenger seat belts, rear parking sensors and speed alert system. Even after getting some additional safety features, the RXE variant is now more affordable, at almost Rs.50,999 lesser than the old one while the Platine diesel is cheaper by Rs.25,999 compared to the existing model.

2019 Captur continues to draw power from the same engines available on each variant on the existing model. The 1.5-litre petrol engine makes 105bhp at 5600rpm and 142Nm of torque at 4000rpm. This engine is further mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. The claimed mileage is 13.87kmpl, while the diesel engine generates 109bhp at 3850rpm and 240Nm of torque at 1750rpm while being mated to a six sped manual gearbox. The claimed mileage of the diesel version is 20.37kmpl.

The features list of New Captur includes LED headlamps, diamond-cut alloy wheels,7-inch touchscreen infotainment system compatible to Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and with voice recognition. The cabin comes with newly upholstered seats, cruise control, multi-function steering wheel, etc. The Eco guide system on this crossover facelift will monitor driving pattern and help to improve fuel efficiency by providing instructions to the driver.

RXE Petrol : 9.49 Lakh
RXE Diesel : 10.49 Lakh
Platine Petrol : 11.99 Lakh
Platine Diesel : 12.99 Lakh
