• Renault Kwid and Datsun Redi GO face recall over a faulty fuel hose.

Renault India and its sister concern Nissan Indian Motors, which shares the same manufacturing plant in Chennai announced a recall on theirpopular cars, Kwid and Redi-GO on detection of a faulty fuel system. Around 50,000 units of Kwid that were manufactured between September 2015 and May 2016 are being recalled for inspection, while 932 units of Redi-GOwill be recalled as the latter was only launched in June 2016.
Renault India announced that they were conducting a pre-emptive and voluntary check on select 800cc variants and would add a new fuel hose clip to alleviate any further possible disruption of fuel supply. Both companies added that the inspection and the new hose clip will be added absolutely free of cost to the customers. Customers will be contacted by the company in the coming days to bring their vehicles for the inspection and replacement.
