Jaguar is celebrating the 50th anniversary of their flagship saloon XJ. It is exciting to know that it has been 50 years since Jaguar launched XJ and this model has been serving as their flagship executive model for these many years. To celebrate this success, Jaguar has now launched the 50th anniversary edition of this prestigious model worldwide.
The stylish looking saloon now gets an Autobiography styled front and rear bumpers with “XJ-50” badging on the front fenders.The radiator grille now shines brightly in chrome. It has got 19 inch alloy wheels with sporty looking 10 spokes in it. This edition also features a long wheelbase as an update.
The anniversary edition of XJ is available in four new colors – Fuji white, Santorini Black, Loire Blue, Rosello Red.
The interiors now receive a soft grain diamond quilted leather seats.To further mark it as an Anniversary edition “XJ 50” badging is done on the headrest and the central armrest. It also gets anodized gear shift pedals and bright metal foot pedals along with illuminated badges on tread plates. The rear gets dual infotainment system with 20 speaker Meridian sound system.
The engine is not what customers care to note on this class of cars, but uncompromising Jaguar has given this edition with a 3.0L V6 engine that produces 306ps of power and 689Nm of torque which is now mated to a 8 speed automatic transmission.
The price of this limited edition is priced at Rs.1.11Crore (Ex-showroom), precisely Rs.8.72 lakhin premium to the standard 3.0Portfolio.XJ continues to compete with its German rivals, the Audi A8, Mercedes-Benz S-class, BMW 7series.
