Trending bike news The Indian motorcycle manufacturer Mahindra Two Wheelers, headquartered at Pune, aims to revive its tourer motorcycle Mojo. Currently, the motorcycle is available in 2 forms - Mahindra Mojo UT 300 and Mojo XT 300. The new motorcycle is inspired by both the models.

The ground clearance, wheelbase, seat height, and physical dimensions are the same as that of UT300. The front fork is upfront and the new Mahindra Mojo retains the gas-charged mono-shock rear unit. A ByBre radial calliper in the front and a ByBre floating calliper at the rear replaces the J. Juan brakes. The trademark twin exhaust is no more and is replaced with a single barrel exhaust similar to the UT 300.

Dual-channel ABS is a standard. The stock model comes with 17-inch alloy wheels and Pirelli Angel CT tyres.

A 294.72cc single-cylinder engine powers the long-distance tourer machine. The liquid-cooled engine gets fuel injection and generates a power of 26.29PS at 7500rpm, and 28NM torque at 5500rpm. On paper, the engine performance is above the UT 300 and below the XT 300.

The new Mahindra Mojo 300 ABS is the only performance-oriented motorcycle from the maker. The company has not provided the pricing details as of now. Though we expect the pricing to be similar to that of the XT 300. Once launched, the Bajaj Dominar will rival with a strong contender.

A little bit of backstory now: When Mahindra Mojo arrived in 2015, the tourer segment was almost empty. The company failed to establish a strong base for the new segment. Despite developing a biker community named 'Tribe' and organising events such as 'Trails' the word didn't get across. Bajaj put its Dominar to good use and created a mass of followers. Royal Enfield exploited its strong network to sell its Royal Enfield Himalayan. The sports cruiser Dominar and adventure tourer Himalayan was a hit among bikers. Now, the three Indian brands are in to win the title of 'Touring King'.

Trending bike news The single-cylinder air-cooled SOHC two-valve 124cc engine uses a carburettor rather than fuel injection. The powerhouse generates a power output of 8.7ps @ 7000rpm and a torque 10.2Nm @ 5000rpm. The telescopic front suspension and swingarm rear suspension provides comfortable urban rides.

The pricing of the Suzuki Access 125 Special Edition is similar to the normal edition. The disc brake with CBS variant costs Rs. 68,466 and the normal Disc Brake variant costs Rs. 66,724. (The prices mentioned are the ex-showroom prices in Kerala)

The 2019 Suzuki Access 125 won the J.D. Power Award for the best upper executive scooter in initial quality. The new scooter rivals with Honda Activa, Honda Grazia, TVS Ntorq, and Mahindra Gusto.
