Trending bike news KTM Duke 790 is one of the most anticipated models in the country. Apparently it turns out that the wait is extended since the brand will not launch the model this year. Due to problems with the homologation process, KTM has postponed the vehicle launch to 2020. The motorcycle is required to be homologated by the vehicle authorities of India to go on sale here.

KTM dealers in the country have already started accepting booking for this vehicle at a booking amount of Rs.30,000. The expected price for this vehicle is between Rs.7.5 lakh to Rs.8 lakh. The production spec KTM Duke 790 was first introduced to the world at the 2018 EICMA in Milan. In February this year, news of this motorcycle spotted testing at Bajaj facility went viral and since then all bike lovers have been waiting anxiously for its launch in the country.

This model is already on sale in the International market. Duke 790 is powered by a 799cc parallel twin engine that churns out 105hp and 86Nm of peak torque. Its weight is just 174kg, which makes this motorcycle one of the lightest in its segment. 43mm, non-adjustable USD fork at the front and a pre-load monoshock at the rear handles suspension jobs while a J.Juan 300mm twin-disc brake with four-pot, radial-mounted calipers at the front and a two-piston caliper on a 240mm disc brake at the rear manage braking jobs.

After launch KTM Duke 790 will compete with Suzuki GSX-S750, Kawasaki Z900, Triple S and the Ducati Monster 821.

Trending bike news The biggest maxi scooter in India, the X-Town 300i ABS is powered by a 276cc single-cylinder fuel-injected liquid-cooled engine that makes 24.5PS and 25Nm which should be more than enough to manage with its 181kg weight.

This scooter gets some premium elements as well, which are not much seen in normal scooters. Suspension duties are taken care of by large 37mm conventional fork and twin shocks while it gets disc brakes (260mm front, 240mm rear) at either ends to handling efficient braking.

The wheels measure 14 inches at the front and 13 inches at the rear. It gets a dual channel ABS system too, which makes it India’s first scooter with dual-channel ABS.

22 Kymco is a joint venture between Taiwan based Kymco and Indian electric scooter brand 22Motors . Together they launched three new scooters in India now, iFlow, Like 200 and the X-Town 300i which will be available in a phased manner. iFlow is priced at Rs 90,000 and the Like150 will be available at Rs.1.30 lakh. To begin with, all of these scooters will be available in New Delhi, Bangalore, Pune, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Ahmedabad. Later on, the sale will extend to other cities as well.

22Kymco will manufacture their scooters in India at its facility in Haryana. Currently it is not possible to list the competitors for this scooter in India. Hope there will be some in the coming future to rival with these big guys.
