Trending bike news It’s raining bikes in Kochi, the growing automobile hub of Kerala. Indian Motorcycle has inaugurated their eighth dealership in the country, in the city of Kochi, Kerala. This showroom, EVM Automobiles is also the brand’s first dealership in the south west part of India.

All popular models from Indian Motorcycle including Chief Classic, Chief Vintage, Chieftain, Chief Dark Horse, Roadmaster, Scout, Scout Sixty and New Scout Bobber will be available at the new outlet. After-sales support of international standards will also be provided by the team promising an all-new experience for the customer.

Kerala is a state that has always shown immense passion towards automobiles, particularly bikes. Enthusiasts from this part of the country welcome motorcycles with both hands, especially adventure tourers and baggers. Indian Motorcycle, a brand that is popular for this segment of motorcycles, expects to receive an overwhelming response for their bikes here and hence, the inauguration of this outlet in God’s Own Country.

Indian Motorcycle showroom in Kochi is situated near Reliance Petroleum Outlet, Thykoodam, Vyttila. Bookings for the new FTR 1200 S duo are also being accepted across the eight outlets in the country at a token amount of Rs.2 lakh while deliveries are expected to commence from April 2019 onwards.

Trending bike news New Versys 1000, seated above Versys 650, carries a price tag that makes it the most affordable adventure tourer in India. Bookings for this model had begun in November and delivery for those customers who have booked already is expected to begin in another months’ time.

As reported earlier, the new Kawasaki Versys 1000 will reach the brand’s Indian facility as CKD units. The motorcycle is equipped with Ninja’s 1043cc inline four cylinder engine, but is fine tuned to produce 120bhp and 102Nm of torque.

The 2019 version of Versys 1000 gets an altogether new look with sharp features on its profile, while other elements include LED headlight, LCD semi digital instrument console, adjustable windscreen, Kawasaki Traction Control, Kawasaki Intelligent Anti-lock Braking system, Kawasaki Cornering Management function, electronic cruise control and many more.

Kawasaki Versys 1000 gets revised shock absorbers for smoother suspension, while riding on new 17-inch alloy wheels. It gets adventure tourer specific features like a ground clearance of 150mm, a massive 21 litre fuel tank and a decent seat height of 790mm.

New Versys 1000 is being offered in only one shade- Pearl Stardust White with Metallic Spark Black and rivals not just against Ducati Multistrada 950 in its segment, but also Triumph Tiger 800XRx.
