With a style that displays cosmetic changes on the body graphics, the new Z900
comes with no mechanical updates and retains the same engine as its predecessor. Hence, it carries the same price tag too with no revision in price.
New Kawasaki Z900 gets a very important update in the form of an all-new lightweight trellis frame. This new super weightless frame weighing only 13.5kg ensures improved handling and performance with the advantage of a low seat height. ‘Z’ graphics seen under the fuel tank and rear seat on the previous generation are replaced by ‘900’, as part of the 2019 update.
41mm adjustable USD front forks and adjustable monoshock at the rear render smoother suspension while 300mm dual petal disc brakes at the front and 250mm single petal disc at the rear provides efficient braking on the 2019 Z900.
Z900 has always remained as the most affordable in-line superbike ever since it was launched replacing the Z800. This version too comes via the CBU route and is available in three new colour combinations- Pearl Flat Stardust White with Metallic Spark Black, Metallic Flat Spark Black with Metallic Spark Black and Metallic Moon Dust Grey with Ebony. Here, the white with black and black with black combination variants gets green coloured frame and black alloy wheels while the grey with ebony combination variant gets red frame and red alloy wheels to add vibrancy to the new paint schemes.
With no mechanical upgrades to its credit, the all new Kawasaki Z900 is powered by the same 948cc, liquid cooled, in-line four cylinder engine that makes 123bhp and 98.6Nm of peak torque. This engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox as seen on the previous generation Z900.
