Trending bike news Honda has officially confirmed their launch of CB300R in India by March of this year. It has also been confirmed that CB300R will be arriving as completely knocked down units and will be priced aggressively. The price of CB300R in India is expected to be under Rs.2.50 lakh (Ex-showroom).

Honda CB300R made its global debut in 2018 and after a year it started eing retailed in other countries as well. After much wait, Honda has finally planned to bring this motorcycle to India. In the mini sports bike segment, Honda has CBR 250R, albeit it is very outdated now. Honda has decided to attend to the need of the hour with their latest offering in the naked bike segment, CB300R.

Unlike CBR 250R, the CB300R is a naked bike and inspired by the Neo sport Café rider. This bike is powered by a 286cc DOHC, 4 valve unit with liquid cooling technology. Hondas are known for their smooth yet performance punchy engines and this bike does it well with power delivery of 31PS and 27.5Nm of torque.

The chassis is a pressed steel frame tubular chassis. It has a minimalistic covering area, exposing the frame which adds to its beauty. The front suspension system has USD forks while the rear has a 7-step adjustable monoshock. This new motorcycle is designed in a such a way that it can easily negotiate the traffic with a tapered handlebar and 40% turning angle.

The design is minimalistic, but appealing with its all LED lights on the headlamps cluster with a horseshoe shaped light inside the circular doom. Exposed framework and split seats all add more charm to CB300R that is available in two colours, matte axis grey metallic and candy chromosphere red.

This bike comes to India after earning good accolades across the globe for both its engine and rideability and Honda brings it to the country at a competitive price. CB300R sits on the likes of BMW G310R, KTM Duke 390. It is in the same price range as the Royal Enfield Continental GT but can’t match it in terms of power.

The booking for this bike has begun already in India at a token amount of Rs.5000. This is only across 22 dealers in the country and the delivery for this is expected to begin from March 2019 immediately after the official launch.
